Less than a minute into the fight and after a spot-on cross, Fábio Maldonado (Arena Memorial team) knocked out Nelson Matins this Wednesday in an MMA matchup at the First Class Fight 4 promotion. The event was held on the terrace of São Paulo’s fashion shopping center, Daslu.
The fourth installment of First Class Fight was a festive affair loaded with celebrities and action-filled fights.
The terrace at Daslu, one of the most luxurious points in the city of São Paulo, was packed with stars the likes of TV star Sabrina Sato and Soccer ace Alexandre Pato. Before popular TV shows Caldeirão do Huck, Panico na TV, CQC, as well as 500 politicians, sponsors and members of the press, the star of the show was Fabio Maldonado.
The boxer headlined the evening and took just a few seconds to knock out Martins. This marks the 17th win on his record, with two losses. A reference in the world of MMA and personal friend of Maldonado, Rodrigo Minotauro was one of those most swarmed by fans during the event and watched the action up close.
In the other bouts from First Class Fight 4, Pedro Iriê beat Alexandre Sagat by technical knockout, Marcos Pezão got the best of Leonardo Chocolate and Edson PC beat Munil Adriano.
