Bellator 88 will bring several Brazil vs. Russia match-ups tonight.

This evening, the Bellator promotion sets up shop in Duluth, Ga. for its 88th event, serving up three Brazil-Russia match-ups to satisfy those hankering to see more of the rivalry that dates back to the classic Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Fedor Emelianenko fights from the Pride FC days.

The event will feature four featherweight grand prix fights, a middleweight-title headliner and the undercard.

In the main event, Maiquel Falcão takes on Alexander Shlemenko for the Bellator middleweight belt. Falcão won the sixth season of the GP, and Shlemenko won the fifth.

In the co-main event, Nova União ace Marlon Sandro will be trying for the featherweight GP title for the third year in a row, this time taking on Akop Stepanyan. The other Brazilian on the main card, Fabricio Guerreiro, will square off with Magomedrasul Khasbulaev.

But Bellator 88 isn’t all about Brazil versus Russia. There will also be some all-American bouts, as well as an all-Brazilian one to kick off this year’s featherweight GP: Alexandre “Popó” Bezerra will face Genair “Junior PQD” da Silva of Renovação Fight Team.
