The bow-and-arrow attack that arose from a well-executed berimbolo.
After Keenan Cornelius expressed his opinion on the berimbolo, we found a play from the IBJJF’s Paris Open that begs to differ.
Fighting in the lightweight division, France’s Leon Larman (Toulon JJB) faced Matheus Fernades (Pitbull Brothers) for the gold medal. The technique used to reach the winning position was the controversial berimbolo.
After attempting to sweep with the de la Riva, Leon spun to Matheus’s back and adjusted himself until he managed to choke him with a bow-and-arrow just over one minute into the match.
