It is tradition to people who are going to dispute the European Jiu-Jitsu Championship to make the most of the trip to the Old Continent to hold seminars. Antonio Peinado headed to Germany on January 1. After the disputes in Lisbon on the 31st of the same month, when he took second place at super-heavyweight, the black belt returned to Germany. From there, he tells says the GRACIEMAG.com of how his team is evolving.

“I taught seminars in Karlsruhe, Frankfurt and went to compete at the European. I returned to Berlin for another two weeks of seminars. I’m working and getting to see a lot of things here, “says the Alliance representative.

“The staff here has been developing some very good Jiu-Jitsu, a seed Fabio Gurgel planted some time ago and is now reaping good results. In Berlin we even had two champions, Ulf Ehlert, a brown belt (master), who is now a black belt and teaches here, and also to Charlotte von Baumgarten, who won at weight and absolute blue belt. That one will give us much to talk about down the road. In Frankfurt we had some champions as well, like Sasa Rankovic a blue belt (master, weight and absolute) and Christina Jenstsch at purple belt (adult). The teacher there is Henry Navarro, who was also promoted to black belt by Fábio after the championship,” he adds, already thinking of his next objective.

“As soon as I get back to Brazil, I’ll focus on training for the Pan American, which is my next commitment. I would like to thank my sponsors Flytour, Keiko, Inoar and Zapallo for believing in my potential,” he says in finishing.
