Rolls Gracie left us nearly three decades ago, but his legacy remains in practically all the big Jiu-Jitsu academies around the world.
The young master – son of Carlos reared by Helio – was fundamental in the apprenticeship of Carlos Gracie Jr, Rickson and Royler Gracie, Romero Jacaré, Maurição Gomes, Alvaro Romano, among others who still live and breathe Jiu-Jitsu to this day.
Check out the Gracie’s style in this vale-tudo bout against karate stylist in the 1970s. It’s not just an homage to Rolls, but to you practitioners.
