The 15th Jiu-Jitsu World Championship hasn’t even begun and it’s already broken a record. The 1,989 competitors signed up is further promise of an unforgettable Worlds in Long Beach, California, from the 3rd to the 6th of June.

Now if you’re an athlete, this is no time to relax. Up until May 29, participants can still make minor changes to their registration by sending an email to ibjjf@ibjjf.org titled “WORLDS CORRECTION”.

On Monday, May 31, the final check for the World Championship will be performed. Athletes should verify whether their names, weight, belt, age and academy were typed in correctly. Should there be any error committed by the IBJJF, contact them via ibjjf@ibjjf.org requesting correction of the error.

The brackets will be released on June 2 and no further changes shall be made after May 31.

The final timetable for the Worlds 2010 will be made available on May 30 at the IBJJF.org website.

Weigh-ins will be held the day the athlete is to compete, moments before entering the competition area (the athlete must be wearing a woven gi).
