Watch the Kimura that took out Pitbull

The 62nd chapter of the Bellator saga went down this Friday in Laredo, Texas, USA, and Patricky Pitbull was favored to win the lightweigh GP but was foiled in his efforts by the Jiu-Jitsu of Lloyd Woodard.

The American caught sunk a second-round Kimura on the Brazilian who was coming off a win over former UFC fighter Kurt Pellegrino. Pitbull tried to roll out of it, but to no avail.

In other GP bouts, Thiago Michel overcame Rene Nazaré via split decision and will now go on to face Brent Weedman, who tapped out JJ Ambrose with an omplata lock. In the other bracket, Rick Hawn, who knocked out Brazil’s Ricardo Tirloni, will take on the very Lloyd Woodard who was Pitbull’s undoing.

Thiago Big Monster, who faced Eric Prindle in the heavyweight GP, didn’t manage to make the weight limit and was disqualified. Thus, Prindle was declared the winner of the GP, taking the 100,000 dollar prize money and will get a shot at Cole Konrad, current holder of the promotion’s heavyweight title.
