He’s certainly back. Keenan Cornelius has shone again — this time at the Chicago Open, held last weekend.
The Atos fighter won gold in the heavyweight division by choking John Gutta (Bonsai JJ) in the final, and was equally successful in the absolute division by defeating Gutemberg Barbosa (GFTeam), who had beaten the super-heavyweight field.
Other notable campaigns included those of double gold winner Catherine Perret (Checkmat), medium heavyweight champion Lucas Barbosa (Atos) and light featherweight champion João Miyao (Cicero Costha).
