After nine months away from the Octagon, Ronaldo Jacaré is back. A two-time absolute BJJ world champion and former Strikeforce champion, the middleweight will be fighting in a rematch with Derek Brunson this Saturday at UFC Charlotte.
Following a stint sharpening his wrestling in the U.S. and taking care of his battle-worn body, Jacaré should be in good shape to take another shot at making his way to the belt. His last bout saw him get foiled by Robert Whittaker, the current champion. In Jacaré’s way stands Brunson, who’s coming off two consecutive round-1 knockouts — against Dan Kelly and Lyoto Machida.
