There’s a fight promising a good helping of ground fighting on the horizon in the UFC. A Jiu-Jitsu black belt known for his submission wins in MMA, Demian Maia is set to face Alan Belcher at UFC Fight Night 22 on September 15.
This will be Demian’s first fight since his loss to Anderson Silva at UFC 112, when he challenged for the middleweight title. Now Belcher comes into the matchup off a submission win by way of rear-naked choke over Patrick Cote.

Now Belcher will repeat the prep-work that won him his last fight, working with black belt Daniel Moraes, who confirmed the bout to our collaborator Diego Marcello.
Another to confirm the matchup was Demian, who announced it over his website.
