Mackenzie Dern achieved her third win in mixed martial arts. LFA

BJJ world champion Mackenzie Dern reached her third MMA win last night when she fought Katherine Roy at Legacy Fighting Alliance 6, in San Antonio, Texas. She dominated all three rounds, as reflected in the unanimous decision by the judges.

Dern sought the takedown from the start. When she succeeded, she mounted and tried for a triangle, but the position slipped. Dern also displayed better striking than previously, and was able to connect a few times against her striking specialist enemy. Dern remains undefeated in her incipient MMA career.

“I’m happy I was able to win the three rounds standing up, basically,” Dern said in the cage. “I tried tons of times to get to the ground and I couldn’t.”

3-0! One more victory! Of course, there are ALWAYS things To get better, I would have like to win by submission but it didn’t happen this time, I had to use my stand up that thankfully my team has been working hard to prepare the best possible for these situations and helping me evolve as a MMA fighter! Thank you everyone for all the support and a big kiss to all of you!! ???????????☝? ????????☝?? Photo by @lfafighting #cantstopwontstop #mma #jiujitsu
