Even as a white belt, Ana Carolina Vieira Srour had the honor of stepping onto the podium alongside the absolute black belt world champion.
Carol, Rodolfo’s sister, proved that Jiu-Jitsu is in the blood yesterday at the Rio Open, taking gold in the middleweight white belt division.
“I’m so pleased. My sister went to town at the Rio Open – two matches and two finishes. I’m so proud of you, my dear!” the proud brother posted in Portuguese over Facebook.
Her reply: “And I’m so happy to have made you proud! Thanks for all the encouragement and for making me train even while in pain! (lol). I LOVE YOU, you can be sure I’ll train a lot so you’ll always be proud of me!” she gushed.
