Felipe Preguiça shows another one of his moves. Luca Atalla/ Gallerr

Felipe Preguiça is known for his versatile, dangerous game. He kindly opened up his toolbox and pulled one of his favorites to show us: a way of getting to the back with the calf lock in place — a very tough position to get away from.

Take note of how Preguiça applies the inverted de la Riva guard to spin and get on the bottom before switching the order of the limbs to have his opponent’s leg trapped, ready to get squeezed.

Don’t forget to train under a teacher’s supervision.
