A black belt under Lloyd Irvin, DJ Jackson was the big winner at the Grappling Pro Championships, held last Sunday, September 18, in Florida, USA.

In the first fight, DJ beat Corey Brown with an elastic score of 24-0. In the semifinal, he was ahead of Garry Tonon, a black belt under Tom DeBlass and Ricardo Almeida. Using his wrestling game, Jackson defeated Tonon by 7-2 on points. This was the fourth time they have faced and DJ Jackson never lost.

The final was against Brazilian Lucas “Hulk” Barbosa, who finished Dustin Neace with a rear naked choke and beat Enrico Cocco 6-1 in the semis. Again, Jackson imposed his game and defeated the black belt from Atos Jiu-Jitsu by 6-3 to win the title and the $10,000 prize.
