Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, is already gearing up for another installment of the IBJJF European Jiu-Jitsu Championship, coming up on January 24 and 27 at the Casal Vistoso municipal sports complex. Click here to get in on the action.

Sign-ups only end on the 16th; still the competition is already stacked, with the likes of Romulo Barral of Gracie Barra, Rodrigo Cavaca and Alexander Trans of CheckMat, Igor Silva of GFTeam, Faisal Fahad of UAE Team, Sijira Eubanks of Lloyd Irvin, Polyana Lago of Alliance and Angélica Galvão of Atos all in the mix.

Even more big names are expected to join the race at the last minute, but there are already some 2012 world champions confirmed—athletes who will put their titles and fame at stake, and whom you’ll want to keep your eye on.
