The Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championship is counting down the days until the main event in April. For now, the trials are being held to give away travel packages to the top athletes in various countries.
While the United States has already covered the west coast and east coast trials, Sao Paulo, Brazil held theirs recently on Jan. 19. Monique Elias of Alliance won the brown/black female open weight and Joao Gabriel Rocha closed out with a teammate to win the black belt absolute.
