Brock Lesnar will make his octagon return after a life-threatening bout of diverticulitis struck the former heavyweight champion down for a second time. This afternoon the UFC announced a war of giants, pitting the 120kg American wrestler against now-former K-1 and Strikeforce champion Alistair Overeem.
The clash of the two oversized titans is set for New Year’s Eve, December 30, in a five-round affair in Las Vegas. The survivor will go through to face the winner of the November title fight between heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez and challenger Junior Cigano.
