Ronaldo Jacaré climbed another step towards a title shot in the UFC middleweight division.
The Brazilian defeated Gegard Mousasi by submission at their UFC Fight Night 50 main event bout, in Mashantucket, CT.
After dominating all three rounds, Jacaré trusted his Jiu Jitsu and found a guillotine choke to end the fight with only 30s to end the round.
After the fight, Jacaré spared no words when asked if he thinks he deserves an attempt at stripping Chris Weidman of his belt.
“Lyoto Machida fought five rounds with Mousasi and I finished him in the third. Anyone who says I don’t deserve a title shot don’t know what they are saying.”
In the com-main event, Ben Rothwell needed a little more than two minutes to knock Alistair Overeem out.
