MMA legend Mirko Cro Cop still have some gas to burn in his tank.

The former Pride GP champion, now a 40-year-old veteran, stepped back into the octagon this Saturday in Krakow, Poland.

The opponent was #14 heavyweight contender Gabriel Napão Gonzaga.

The two were old rivals, after Napão got a surprising KO win over Cro Cop back in 2007, at UFC 70.

This time, eight years later, Cro Cop was again in trouble when the third round finished.

A big gash in his eyebrow over the left eye was the proof that Napão was winning the fight.

Everything changed with two powerful elbow strikes mid-third round that left Gonzaga wobbly.

Cro Cop finished the matter with some nasty ground and pound that gave Napão his own gash over the right eye.

The ref stepped in and their personal score is now 1-1.

After the match, Cro Cop assured the crowd he’s back in business: “I’ll rest for a week of two and then it is back to training.”
