Light-heavyweight contender Alexander Gustafson is out of his rematch against champion Jon Jones, scheduled September 27, in Las Vegas.
The main event for UFC 178 is now Jon jones vs. Daniel Cormier.
Gustafson is out due to a injury during training this week.
With that, former Olympic wrestler David Cormier got his wish and will face the champion for the title.
After his latest win, a submission over MMa legend Dan Henderson, Cormier gave a memmorable speech challenging Jones: “Jones, I’ll always be on your bracket. You better hurry because I’m getting better”.
