For the first and, according to UFC president Dana White, the only time ever, the fans picked who would take home the “Fight of the Night” bonus check. The fans spoke, and the participants in evening’s main event, Georges Saint-Pierre and Josh Koscheck, pocketed the hefty sum of one hundred thousand dollars, each. Mac Danzig earned the same amount for the “Knockout of the Night” bonus, for first-round finish over Joe Stevenson.
Now the “Submission of the Night” was divided between two Jiu-Jitsu black belts, with Marc Bocek and Jim Miller each rewarded fifty thousand dollars for their wins over Dustin Hazelett and Charles do Bronx, respectively.
