The 2019 edition of the SJJIF World Jiu-Jitsu Championship will take place Nov. 8–10 in Long Beach, Calif., and you won’t want to miss the chance to be a part of it.
The sign-up period, which has already begun, was pushed up to benefit the competitors, according to SJJIF president João Silva: “This helps the athlete get the visa for entry into the U.S., in case that’s necessary. It also helps them buy cheaper plane tickets.”

Na final do aberto, Berg foi tático e eficiente. Ao trabalhar por baixo e impressionar com tentativas de raspagens, a partir de pegadas nas pernas de Roberto, Berg acumulou três vantagens, e garantiu o bicampeonato absoluto.
No pódio por equipes, a AOJ dos irmãos Guilherme e Rafa Mendes ficou com um troféu no adulto, pela primeira vez.
Outros destaques foram Adam Wardzinski, que após hiato em 2024 voltou a vencer o peso pesado num lutão com Jimenez – 16 a 4 num carrossel frenético dos dois craques do Jiu-Jitsu. O equatoriano havia eliminado Gustavo Batista por 4 x 2, nas quartas do peso.
