Randy Couture puts on the mask

Caught in action by photographer Stephen Albanese and published on Sherdog.com, the always-respectful Randy Couture, 46, put on a mask before facing also-veteran Mark Coleman, 45, in the main event of UFC 109.

But don’t take that as being a metaphor, dear reader. The tough old warrior literally put on a mask, and trained sporting a stylish Batman, the Dark Knight disguise.

Another to bare his heart to the press was Rolles Gracie, 31, interviewed by Thomas Gerbasi, of the official UFC website. On the last-minute opponent change, Rolles praised Joey Beltran – announced as a substitute for Mustafa Al-Turk, who had visa troubles, as GRACIEMAG.com reported earlier this week.

“When you fight at this level, you can’t afford to underestimate any fighter,” said Gracie. “I’m training a lot, investing many hours of my day to this, and it will be a tough fight. If I make a mistake, he will capitalize and punish me. So I’m preparing for a war. ”
