Out of UFC 130, Frankie Edgar makes way for Rampage to shine

A double injury arose to frustrate fans looking forward to UFC 130, to take place on the coming 28th in Las Vegas. Both current lightweight champion Frankie Edgar and the challenger with whom he drew back in January, Gray Maynard, are injured out of the event, putting the title fight on hold.

Frankie broke a rib while Gray injured his knee, reported the UFC today, and now the event will be headlined by Quinton “Rampage” Jackson. The “A-Team” star will face Matt Hammill, needing a victory to convince his fans – and himself. In his last fight, Rampage overcame Lyoto Machida, but even he didn’t believe he’d won. Another intriguing matchup is between Frank Mir and Roy Nelson. Check out the updated card:
