Professor Ricardo de la Riva, one of over a hundred black belts produced by the late Grandmaster Carlson Gracie, became famous for creating his own style of guard, one used by elite gentle art practitioners across the board these days.

Not long ago, the respected competitor taught a seminar in Israel, where he demonstrated the details behind his guard, like a dazzling maneuver where his free-moving hip plays a key role in either sweeping or finishing via triangle. Watch how he does it, and only repeat it in the academy under a qualified instructor’s supervision.

And remember, to learn and perfect acrobatic or traditional Jiu-Jitsu positions, always be sure to keep a copy of GRACIEMAG in hand. So subscribe here.
