The latest installment of promoter Wallid Ismail’s Jungle Fight event took place before a decent-sized crowd on the maiden venture into the Northeastern Brazilian city of Natal.

In one of the best fights of the night, Erick Silva had an uneasy start against Zezão Trator. He took a knockdown from Trator, who worked well on the ground. But Erick found his distance in the fight and went on to dominate the action, making good use of his low kicks. After landing a knee, Silva followed up with strikes to his downed opponent until the referee stepped in to end the bout.

Another to have a solid showing was Dinarti. Against Eduardo Telles, the fight started out in a whirlwind. Dinarti landed solid strikes and Telles used his main weapon, Jiu-Jitsu, to good effect in reaching the mount twice in the opening round. The fight then cooled down some, but Dinarti maintained an advantage in the standup department, which earned him the split judges’ decision in his favor. Now Edilberto Crocotá’s boxing skills won him his fight, with a spot-on uppercut knocking Rondinelle Rodrigues out in the first round.

In the international matches, Mexico’s Francisco Ayon put on a show with his quick knockout of Chile’s Eduardo Sandoval. Now the fight between Peru’s Manuelo Morales and Spain’s Ramon Diaz was a lukewarm one, with Morales taking the decision after an extra round.
