Following his second successful title defense in the WEC, José Aldo and our GMA Gustavo Dantas are holding another auction to raise funds for the Live Jiu-Jitsu organization.

The last time they held an auction, with items like the gloves he used in the fight with Urijah Faber, they were able to muster enough funds to purchase brand new mats for Master Fabiano “Babu” Freitas’s Jiu-Jitsu program in the Morro Azul community, a low-income housing neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro.

This time, the WEC champion is auctioning off, over Ebay, the banner from his last title defense, against Manny Gamburyan. The idea is to collect enough money to buy a new mat for another needy neighborhood, the Santo Amaro community where Sengoku champion and Nova União black belt Marlon Sandro has run run a project teaching Jiu-Jits for several years.

The aim of the Live Jiu-Jitsu organization, founded by Gustavo Dantas, is not just to take the gentle art to needy regions of Brazil, but the entire world.
