GMA Choke Academy sends team of four to IBJJF London Open and earns five medals

The Choke Academy team sent students to the 2013 IBJJF London Open on Oct. 19-20 and earned great results. Traveling from Copenhagen, Denmark the group of four athletes led by Professor Joao Pedro Santos won five medals at the event.
Marcus Dahl Rasmussen was the  76kg no-gi champion in his adult blue belt division with three chokes in four fights. In the absolute, he faced the ultra-heavy champion and lost a close fight for an advantage after a tie in points.
Jesper Bendtsen won the heavy blue belt master division having finished two opponents. In the final, he put his opponent to sleep with a choke from guard.
In the purple belt master middleweight no-gi division, Rune Thorbek took bronze and silver in the open class.
In white belt master lightweight division, Franck Hedehøj got the silver medal.
