The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Professional Cup is also drawing in the female public. That’s why the organizers have announced that, besides the two absolute divisions with money prizes, the girls will also be able to compete in weight group disputes. The event, which will be paying out a total of 60 thousand euros in prizes, will take place on May 13 in Biella, Italy.

Drawn by the big payout, world, Pan-American and World Pro champion duo Luanna Alzuguir and Gabrielle Garcia are in.

“My next objective is the competition in Italy,” Luanna confirmed, shortly after winning in Abu Dhabi.

“I want to win my third World Championship, but before that I’ll compete at the Professional Cup in Italy. It’s important to appreciate events that help girls,” says Gabi Garcia.

The girls will have under- and over- 66kg absolute divisions. They will be divided up into a purple, brown and black category (2,000 euros) and a white and blue category (400 euros).

Among the main attractions of the event promoted by Ari Galo, Carlson Gracie Jr. and Mario Villella are the superfights with Kron Gracie versus Yan Cabral and Bernardo Faria facing Raphael Abi-Rihan.
