Gamburyan: “I’ll fight José Aldo in Brazil or even in his own backyard”

Whereas José Aldo Jr chopped through Urijah Faber’s legs and successfully defended his featherweight title at WEC 48, former UFC fighter Manny Gamburyan decimated former champion Mike Brown, earning him an extra 65 thousand dollars for the knockout of the night.

Now Gamburyan, who has three wins in a row for the promotion, has but one thought on his mind: the belt. Thus he can’t wait to get a shot at José Aldo.

“I told Joe Silva that I (was) going to leave everything in the cage. Everything. Whatever I have, I’m going to leave it in the cage. Do or die,” he told MMAJunkie, regarding the stunning knockout win.

“I’d fight him in Brazil if they want. If I’m ready, I’m focused, (then) I don’t care where I fight him. We can fight in the backyard,” he said in reference to José Aldo, an opponent he is convinced will be his next.

With the challenge launched, we must now wait and see how the story plays out. Right here on GRACIEMAG.com, of course.
