Behold the pressure behind Willamy Freire’s guillotine in MMA

With UFC featherweight kingpin José Aldo in attendance, the Brazilian King Fighter mixed martial art event went down last Thursday in Fortaleza, Brazil. Over 7,000 fans crowded the Paulo Sarasate gymnasium and left pleased with the level of fistic excitement they witnessed there. Of the nine fights on the card, only two went to a judges’ decision.

Chief among the evening’s top performers, Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire was set on wrapping up his bout quickly, but the hard-nosed Junior “Suicida” proved to be no push-over. Connecting solid strikes, “Suicida” looked to be a threat to the former UFC employee. However, Chiquerim managed to take the fight to the ground in the second round, ending the encounter with a well-executed guillotine.
