GMA members Kiko Alves and Diogo Valença, President and VP of the Portugueses BJJ Federation, are celebrating the success of the 1st Portuguese Nationals.
The event was held at the same weekend of the Pan 2011, in Lisbon.

Valença tells us of some amazing marks the event reached: “We had around 250 athletes. Among those, we had 50 children and athlets from 4 to 60 years old.”
The 1st Portuguese champions form now the Portuguese BJJ national team and will now have priority in events where there is a selection process, like the IBJJF European Open.
The teams competition had the following results:
1st: Gracie Barra Lisboa / Seixal
2nd: Fight Planet / Nova União
3rd: Royce Gracie Portugal
