The ladies also displayed some refined Jiu-Jitsu in the absolute at the Rio Open, at Tijuca Tennis Club. In the purple belt open class, Monique Elias (Alliance) submitted Monique Goncalves (Cicero Costha) from the back. Monique on the same night won the middleweight division.
