In the above photo Ximu is sporting a gi. Last Saturday, though, the Jiu-Jitsu and muay thai black belt and MMA fighter showed his stuff in boxing.
The pugilistic display took place at the traditional Nobre Arte boxing academy of the Cantagalo favela in Rio de Janeiro, during an event set up by trainer Claudio Coelho. Ximu had a bout of fisticuffs with friend and also-MMA fighter Luiz Beição. The bout was decided by judges’ decision.
It was not the first time MMA fighters faced off under boxing rules at Nobre Arte academy. Recently, Murilo Bustamante also put in an appearance at an event promoted by Claudio Coelho.
