In the United States, but using his cell phone from Birmingham, England, Braulio Estima rushed to call in and clear up the confusion surrounding reports of shots being fired at him in Dallas, Texas, where the grand champion of ADCC 2009 was teaching seminars.
Following an argument, a local accosted Braulio and later fired shots into the air.
“It was just an argument, nothing that was reported happened. But once I was already far away shots were fired,” reported Braulio, surprised by the stir – and concerned with what his family in Brazil may have thought.
“The guys really were kind of crazy, looking for trouble. I had left the location, then shots were fired and the police showed up to calm things down. People talking about it on the internet is no good. My family in Brazil will suffer heart attacks
