Coming off a win at the event Ultimate Wrestle in Chine, where he teaches, Rodrigo Caporal is getting ready for some more upcoming challenges.

To close out the year, the Atos black belt will do one more MMA fight, on December 13, after which he’ll just keep on going. As he informed GRACIEMAG.com by email, he’ll kick off 2011 already with a fight, now at Deep on January 8.

Vindo de vitória no Ultimate Wrestle, evento de MMA na China, país onde dá aulas, Rodrigo Caporal se prepara para mais desafios.

Para finalizar o ano, o faixa-preta da Atos faz mais uma luta de vale-tudo, no dia 13 de dezembro. Depois disso, a fera não para. Como conta ao GRACIEMAG.com por e-mail, já inicia 2011 com lutas, agora no Deep, no dia 8 de janeiro.

As previously reported by GRACIEMAG.com, Atos black belt Rodrigo Caporal, who has been teaching Jiu-Jitsu in China since December, had an MMA fight in the country this Saturday at the Ultimate Wrestle event. And the outcome of his fight against Amuguleng couldn’t have been better.

“I had a great fight! I subbed my opponent in under a minute and thirty seconds, via rear-naked choke. Leading up to getting back mount and finishing, I got a takedown, passed guard and mounted. I’m too happy about it!” says Caporal in celebration.

Como o GRACIEMAG.com noticiou, o faixa-preta da Atos Rodrigo Caporal, que dá aulas de Jiu-Jitsu na China até dezembro, fez uma luta de MMA no país, neste sábado, no evento Ultimate Wrestle. E o resultado, contra Amuguleng, não poderia ter sido melhor. 

“Fiz uma boa luta! Finalizei  meu adversário em apenas um minuto e trinta segundos, com um mata-leão. Antes de pagar as costas para finalizar, dei uma queda, passei a guarda e montei. Estou muito feliz!”, comemora Caporal.

Rodrigo Caporal é mais um representante da Atos pelo mundo. Na China, além de ensinar Jiu-Jitsu, o lutador aproveita para competir. Depois de vencer peso e absoluto num evento na Tailândia, Caporal se prepara para combater no MMA. 

“Luto neste sábado, na China, no evento Ultimate Wrestle. O nome do meu adversário é Amuguleng. Espero fazer uma boa luta!”, diz ao GRACIEMAG.com.   

“Eu estou dando aulas em Hong Kong, na academia Verus, e fico aqui até dezembro. O trabalho está muito bom e temos bom alunos”, completa. 

O faixa-preta diz que a arte suave está crescendo bastante não apenas na China, mas por toda a Ásia. Recentemente, por exemplo, Caporal venceu uma competição na Tailândia, a terra do muay thai. 

“O Jiu-Jitsu aqui esta crescendo mais a cada dia. Estivemos na Tailândia para competir e fomos muito bem. Ganhei na categoria médio e no absoluto. Não puderam ir todos os alunos, mas os três que foram conseguiram medalhas!”, comemora. 

O trabalho na China está bom, mas a saudade também aperta. 

“Sinto muita falta da minha família e também dos meus treinos com a equipe, com os amigos  Durinho, Irmãos Mendes, Guto Campos, Calasans… Faz muita falta isso!”, encerra.

Rodrigo Caporal is another Atos representative making his way around the world. In China – besides teaching Jiu-Jitsu – the fighter will take the opportunity to fight. After winning his weight and the absolute at an event in Thailand, Caporal is getting ready for an MMA fight.

“I fight this Saturday in China at the Ultimate Wrestle event. My opponent’s name is Amuguleng. I hope to have a great fightt!” he tells GRACIEMAG.com.

“I’m teaching at Versus academy in Hong Kong, and I’ll stay until December. Work is going great and we have excellent students,” he adds.

The black belt says the gentle art is spreading not just in China, but throughout Asia. Recently, for example, Caporal won a competition in Thailand, where muay thai is the national sport.

“Jiu-Jitsu here is growing with every day. We were in Thailand to compete and did great. I won the middleweight and absolute divisions. Not all my students could go, but three managed to win medals!” he says jubilantly.

Work in China is going well, but he still has to deal with his longing for home.

“I miss my family a lot, and miss team training with friends like Durinho, Guto Campos, Calasans… I miss that a lot,” he says in closing.
