The first two-time winner of the World Championship absolute division (1996/97), Amaury Bitetti just kicked off his worldwide seminar tour.

“I’m already in London with the black belt André Bottino, and this Saturday we started work at  Wilson Junior’s Carlson Gracie Academy. Next we’ll head to Munich, and after that we’ll do seminars in Paris, Florence and Livorno. After that we’re heading to Jordan and Egypt,” Amaury recounts.

“Já estou em Londres, junto com o faixa-preta André Bottino, e neste sábado começamos os trabalhos na academia Carlson Gracie, do Wilson Junior. Depois vamos para Munique e na sequência vamos ensinar em Paris, Florença e Livorno. Depois embarcamos para Jordânia e Egito”, conta Amaury.

Primeiro (bi) campeão mundial absoluto, Amaury Bitetti vem realizando um série de seminários pelo Brasil. No fim de semana, foi a vez de Recife. Nos dias 3 e 4 novembro, o filho de seu Bitetti vai mostrar seus macetes em Fortaleza, Ceará.

Para dar um aperitivo, Amaury mostrou para o leitor do GRACIEMAG.com uma passagem de guarda com direito a um abraço capaz de pegar um urso, para o seu jogo sem kimono, seja no Jiu-Jitsu ou MMA.

A posição pode ser finalizada com um katagatame. O macete é apertar a pegada mão-com-mão na altura da costela para superar a guarda do oponente, e depois aproveitar o braço em posição incômoda e arrochar o katagatame.

The first (two-time) absolute champion of the world, Amaury Bitetti is on a tour teaching seminars all across Brazil. Last weekend was the City of Recife’s turn. On November 3 and 4 he’ll be in Fortaleza, Ceará State.

As a prelude to what he’s offering, Amaury demonstrates a guard pass with a bear-hug to bolster GRACIEMAG.com readers’ No-Gi games, whether for Jiu-Jitsu or MMA.

The position can ultimately wrap up with an arm-triangle. The trick is to squeeze with a hand-in-hand grip at rib height to overcome the opponent’s guard, and next to capitalize on the arm being in an uncomfortable position and squeeze out the arm-and-neck choke.

O dia 8 de dezembro foi histórico em Amã, na Jordânia, com o Desert Force Fight Championship, com presença ilustre da família real com os príncipes Hachem Bin Hussein e Hussein Mirza.

Por lá esteve o empresário André Bottino, responsável pelo lutador Marcos Marquez, americano de origem mexicana que enfrentou o brasileiro Bruno Carvalho, e conta um pouco dessa experiência:

“A organização foi impecável.Tudo maravilhoso. Fomos tratados como verdadeiros príncipes por pessoas receptivas e alegres. Apesar das diferenças culturais, tudo é muito diferente do que imaginávamos, positivamente”, diz.

“Falando das lutas, várias foram ótimas, num evento cheio de finalizações. Cristiano Marcello lutou muito bem, Francimar Bodão deu um dos maiores nocautes que já vi na vida e o combate entre Bruno Carvalho e Marcos Marquez, o melhor da noite. Bruno venceu, mas os dois lutadores saíram valorizados”, fala.

“Mas, além das lutas e do evento, a experiência foi muito além. Prova de profissionalismo, os lutadores aproveitaram para conhecer um pouco do país, todos unidos, independentemente de serem adversários. Fizemos amigos e vivemos momentos e histórias inesquecíveis. A Jordânia estará guardada com carinho no coração de todos nós”, encerra André, que enviou essas imagens exclusivas ao GRACIEMAG.com.

December 8 was an historic day in Amman, Jordan, as the Desert Force Fight Championship debuted there, with members of the royal family princes Hachem Bin Hussein and Hussein Mirza in attendance.

André Bottino, handler of American fighter of Mexican descent Marcos Marquez, was there and wrote in about the experience:

“The event was impeccably organized. Everything was splendid. We were treated like true princes by receptive and happy people. Despite the cultural differences, everything was a lot different from what we imagined, positively,” he says.

“Regarding the fights, a number of them were great, and the event was loaded with finishes. Cristiano Marcelo fought really well, Francimar Bodão landed one of the greatest knockouts I’ve ever seen in my life, and the fight between Bruno Carvalho and Marcos Marquez was the best of the night. Bruno won, but both fighters were given their due props,” he says.

“But the experience went well beyond the fights and the event. Proof of their professionalism, the fighters made the most of the trip to get out and see some of the country together, regardless of whether they fought each other or not. We made friends and had unforgettable moments. Jordan will forever hold a dear place in all our hearts,” said André, who sent in these pictures from the trip in exclusively to GRACIEMAG.com.
