GMA member school Gracie Barra Westchase (Houston, TX) celebrated its Grand Opening this past last Friday. Prof. Ulpiano was really proud to introduce his new students to the GB Family with tons of support from our local GB Academies and team members. We had 9 Black Belt instructors on the mats, each Instructor taught a favorite technique.
With more than 70 people on the mats for the Grand Opening Class, Prof. Draculino taught one of Master Carlos’s favorite moves, the arm lock from mount. Anyone who has had the honor of training with him knows exactly how it feels. Prof. Rafael Ellwanger taught the kimura from the triangle. Prof. Chad taught a variation of opening the guard and many more… The students all enjoyed the class and each learned something new.
Gracie Barra Westchase would like to thank Master Draculino from GB Texas , Prof. Rafael from GB Louisiana, Prof. Chad and Prof. Alex from GB Woodlands, Prof. Tyler from GB Brownsville, Prof. Alejandro and Prof. Leo Cantu from GB Corpus Christi for their support. This is just the first of many events to come for the Texas GB Family.
With the success of his Santa Ana, CA location, Gracie Barra Westchase is Prof. Ulpiano’s second academy where he hopes to help make Master Carlos’s dream of having Gracie Barras in every city reality. He is very excited to be close to his teacher Prof. Draculino and hopes to help make Gracie Barra as strong in Texas as it is in California.
