In tribute to the fiery Japanese fighter who will put his gloves on again in the cage at UFN 21, GRACIEMAG.com remembers one of his fiercest battles.

Tonight, Takanori Gomi (31w, 5l) faces Kenny Florian (12w, 4l) and a recent spell of inconsistency in his career. But the “Fireball Kid” guarantees a good fight in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Besides Gomi, the event has other promising matchups on offer. TUF champion Roy Nelson, for example, faces Stefan Struve.

Brazilian fans will have a plateful, with five fighters from the South American nation entering the octagon. Rafaello Oliveira, Mario Miranda, Lucio Linhares, Gleison Tibau and Ronys Torres are all on the card. The latter, hailing from Manacapuru, a city in the Amazon rainforest, even wore his Native American garb to the weigh-ins.

Come back later for more on the event here at GRACIEMAG.com.
