The first official result was that former UFC fighter Hermes França had lost his fight to France’s Ferrid Khede at last Saturday’s XVT event in Costa Rica.

However, GRACIEMAG.com received emails contesting the result. Hermes, who dominated the bout, was declared the winner by the head referee and even had his arm raised. However, according to witnesses, after pressure from the organization the official result was changed and the belt handed to Ferrrid.

There was a lot of booing from the local crowd, as can be seen in the video below. From the look of it, the three judges handed the Brazilian the win.

O primeiro resultado oficial foi de que o ex-UFC Hermes França havia sido derrotado na luta contra o francês Ferrid Khede, que aconteceu no último sábado, na Costa Rica, no evento XVT.

No entanto, GRACIMAG.com recebeu e-mails que contestavam o resultado. Hermes, que dominou o combate, chegou a ser dado como vencedor pelo árbitro central e teve os braço erguido. No entanto, segundo testemunhas, após pressão da organização, o resultado foi modificado e o cinturão dado a Ferrid.

Houve muita vaia do público local, como é possível ver no vídeo abaixo. Ao que tudo indica, os três jurados laterais deram vitória ao brasileiro.

Evento de MMA na Costa Rica, o XVT realizou a sua quinta edição no último sábado e, para a luta principal, que valia o cinturão dos pesos leves da organização, colocaram frente a frente o francês Ferrid Kheder e Hermes França.

O ex-campeão do WEC foi superado por decisão unânime dos juízes e acumula a quarta derrota seguida desde o retorno aos cages, depois de ter deixado o UFC. O evento também contou com outro ex-UFC, o americano John Gunderson, que só precisou do primeiro round para finalizar o costa-riquenho Alejandro Solano “Mandarina” com uma chave kimura.

XVT, an MMA event in Costa Rica, held its fifth installment last Saturday, headlined by a lightweight title bout between France’s Ferrid Kheder and Brazil’s Hermes França.

The former WEC champion dropped a unanimous decision and has now amassed four losses in a row since returning to the cage after his exit from the UFC. Another former UFC fighter, John Gunderson, only needed the first round to submit Costa Rica’s Alejandro “Mandarina” Solano with a kimura.
