Samuel vs. Miyao

Another superfight is set for the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo 2013.

The grand event is scheduled for November 9 and 10 at the Long Beach Convention Center, in California.

Black belts João Miyao and Samuel Braga, both accomplished light-featherweights, will clash with kimono for ten minutes.

A good opportunity to check how Samuel, who launched the berimbolo in Worlds, will face the beginner Miyao, one of the talents that are revolutionizing the sport.

The second edition of the World Jiu-Jitsu Expo is confirmed with new date.

It will be on November 9 and 10, in Long Beach, California. The city’s Convention Center will host the show, which promises to bring the biggest stars of the sport and of MMA in free seminars, superfights, exhibitions, autograph sessions and BJJ Awards, with the election of the best of the sport today.

Professor Renzo Gracie, promoter of the event, held the first tournament round in May, 2011. Gracie says the new edition will have a much larger space and even more surprises for Jiu-Jitsu fans.

“We changed the date, originally scheduled for October, so it won’t conflict with the ADCC 2013 in Beijing”, says Renzo. “I’m particularly excited for the event this year. We will have an Open championship once again, and a GP for the black belts, which will be explosive.”

A primeira World Jiu-Jitsu Expo, organizada por Renzo Gracie, divulgou uma parceria com a IBJJF para o superevento do dia 12 de maio. A Federação Internacional vai organizar um torneio especial de primavera em Long Beach, no espaço da Jiu-Jitsu Expo, no Long Beach Convention Center.

“O campeonato será um dos pontos altos da Expo, e estamos amarradões de trabalhar em parceria com a IBJJF. Será uma grande oportunidade para os fãs de Jiu-Jitsu verem em ação os competidores consagrados e algumas das maiores promessas do esporte”, disse Renzo.

Além de Renzo Gracie, a Jiu-Jitsu Expo tem entre os confirmados feras do quilate de André Galvão, Robert Drysdale, Rodrigo Comprido, Braúlio Estima e Roger Gracie, que vão dar seminários de graça para os presentes.
