Jiu-Jitsu black belt and MMA fighter Jeff Monson (42w, 12l) announced what is in the works for his next outing via Twitter. Monson (pictured) said he’s confirmed to face Fedor Emelianenko (31w, 4l) on November 12 at M-1 in Russia.

According to MMAJunkie, however, the bout agreement between the ex-UFC fighter and ex-Strikeforce fighter haven’t been signed yet. The supposed date of the event, November 12, is the same as the inaugural UFC broadcast on Fox, direct from Anaheim, California.

Segundo o MMAJunkie.com, no entanto, os contratos entre o ex-atleta do UFC e o ex-Strikeforce ainda não estariam firmados. A data do suposto evento, 12 de novembro, é a mesma da primeira edição do UFC On Fox, a estreia do octagon ao vivo pela TV Fox, direto de Anahein, Califórnia.

The heavyweight fight also marks the UFC’s debut on Fox television network, which will broadcast the showdown.

Fox, which will also broadcast the reality show “The Ultimate Fighter”, even went as far as to plug Velasquez versus Dos Santos during baseball game coverage, like in the Texas Rangers-Boston Red Sox game in the video below.

According to UFC president Dana White, the Fox deal will carry the event to a new level of popularity in the country. White’s hope is that the UFC will be as recognized as the NBA, NFL or MLB, the three main sporting organizations in the United States.

Segundo o presidente do UFC, Dana White, o acordo com a Fox vai levar seu evento a um novo patamar no país. White espera que todos saibam o que é UFC da mesma maneira que falam de NBA (basquete), NFL (futebol americano) ou MLB (beisebol), três das maiores paixões esportivas.
