The UFC will perform tryouts for the third season of its Brazilian reality show, “The Ultimate Fighter,” on Monday, Nov. 11, according to a press release sent over the weekend.

The tryouts will take place at the Windsor Barra Hotel in Rio de Janeiro. Tryouts will be open to middleweights (-84 kg), light heavyweight (up to 93 kg) and heavyweight (up to 120 kg). The coaches of the season are yet to be announced.

All candidates for “The Ultimate Fighter Brazil” should be between 18 and 35 years of age, and have at least three professional MMA fights on a verifiable record with a balance of more wins than losses. Former UFC fighters cannot participate. The applicant shall bear all expenses involving their participation in the first stage of selection, such as lodging, food and transportation.

Our GMA Robert Drysdale is confirmed for the second to last fight of this Saturday’s Armageddon Fighting Championship (AFC) card, where the 2007 ADCC champion will be looking for his third finish in three MMA fights.

He’ll be facing TUF 3 participant Mike Nickels, who is competes in Jiu-Jitsu as well. Nickels won the senior 3 brown belt division at the 2010 Pan-American as a superheavyweight.

AFC 6 will take place at the Bear Mountain Arena in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Middleweight champion of the event Kalib Starnes squares off with John Salter, a fighter who has had stints in Strikeforce and the UFC. The AFC will be broadcast over the internet at this link.

O oponente será Mike Nickels, participante do TUF 3 e competidor de Jiu-Jitsu também. Nickels foi campeão pan-americano em 2010, na faixa-marrom sênior, na divisão superpesado.
