Remember the guard pass that Keenan Cornelius used on Paulo Miyao at the European Championship earlier this year? The one where he stepped on Paulo’s thigh? Well, Ryan Beauregard can be seen here in his 2008 World Championship brown belt final match against Rodrigo Vieira successfully using a similar pass.

Team Beauregard gains new brown belt and new baby into the family

GMA member Ryan Beauregard, a Judo and Jiu-Jitsu black belt, runs a successful academy called Southwest Training Facility in Mesa, Arizona. This past Saturday, August 3, Ryan’s youngest brother Ian Beauregard was promoted to brown belt by Demetrius Ramos. In a celebration, about a dozen Judo and Jiu-Jitsu black belts trained on the mats of the Mesa academy.

Also, a new member of the team is expected November 2. Ryan and his wife are expecting a baby girl! He says, “Too much testosterone in our family; it will be nice to have a girl around.”

Congrats to Ryan, Ian, and family.
