GMA member school Roger Gracie Buckinghamshire, in England, has a new home and a new timetable.

The school has just taken over a property in Aylesbury town centre and now is a full time school.

School owner Kev Capel says his school is now the only full time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in the area.

They are running classes twice a day, afternoon and evening and dedicating fridays to no gi training.

The classes at the new address started October 5th.

Kapel plans an official grand opening soon.

His students excelled at two different tournaments.

At the World Pro Cup British Trials, Yasmine Wilson became the first British female to qualify for the World Pro Cup.

Also at the Trials, Drazen Macan finished third at the blue belt.

Last weekend, at the British Open,  Kev himself won the brown belt featherweight masters division.

Some of his students also did great. Sahid Khamlichi, Michelle Williams, Lizzie Jefferies, Dann McCall, Jake Kennet, Ed Ilball, Berie Cole, Donnie McDonald walked out with medals.

GMA member Kev Capel just started a new summer tradition.

The leader of Roger Gracie Academy Buckinghamshire organized the first annual summer seminar and BBQ.

Roger Gracie Black belt Nic Gregariades came to the academy and taught a 3 hour seminar followed by a fully catered BBQ put on by a very generous student Andy Rickett.

After the work out, they had some grilled steak and cooked pasta. He’s sent some pictures of the day.

At the Copa America, in Lakeland, Florida, Roberto “Cyborg” Abreu (fightsportssbeach.com) closed out both the Gi and No-Gi absolute black belt divisions with his friend Vagner “Ceara” Rocha.

“Blue belts Yasmine Wilson and Drazen Macan competed at The Grapplers Showdown No Gi Summer Slam in London, this last Saturday. Yasmine won by submission in all her fights to get the gold in the womens absolute tournament and Macan submitted three guys on the way to the final and ended up taking the silver.”
