It’ll be open season this Saturday in Dallas, with the Strikeforce GP. Why watch? Well, seeing as GRACIEMAG.com readers like their Jiu-Jitsu, Fabrício Werdum will be defending the gentle art again, against jackhammer-fisted Alistair Overeem. If you like a good throw down, Josh Barnett will have his hands full against Brett Rogers. Anyone whose eyes fall on Strikeforce’s always-smiling ring girls may very well forget how things are about to get gruesome in San Jose, California.

Weigh-ins for the event took place this Friday and the fighters are set to enter the cage on Saturday. On the main card, Cesar Gracie black belt Nick Diaz will look to settle the score with KJ Noons in a welterweight title fight. In other heavily-anticipated matchups, Sarah Kaufman and Marloes Coenen will also fight for their respective title, Gesias Cavalcante finally gets a fight in the USA against Josh Thomson, and André Galvão will look to add another win in the organization to his record, against the undefeated Tyron Woodley.

Quem apenas observar as sempre sorridentes ring girls do Strikeforce pode até esquecer que logo mais, em San Jose, na Califórnia, o bicho vai pegar.

A pesagem do evento foi nesta sexta-feira e os lutadores entram em ação no octagon na noite deste sábado. Nas principais lutas, o faixa-preta de Cesar Gracie Nick Diaz acerta as contas com K.J Noons, em luta que vale o cinturão da categoria meio-médio. Em outras lutas aguardadas, Sarah Kaufman e Marloes Coenen também combatem pelo título, Gesias Cavalcante finalmente volta a lutar nos EUA contra Josh Thomson e André Galvão tenta mais uma vitória na organização, contra o invicto Tyron Woodley.
