This week, two Jiu-Jitsu teachers from the famous Gracie family and devoted to self-defense studies had birthdays.

Creator of the UFC Rorion Gracie, the eldest son of Grandmaster Helio, turned 60 last Wednesday.

Now this Monday, Grandmaster Carlos Robson Gracie turned 77 years old with plenty left in the old tank.

As a tribute to the two of them, GRACIEMAG.com looks back on the first fundamental Jiu-Jitsu class Royce Gracie taught the planet, in the wake of the first UFCs.
