Dia 8 de dezembro, sábado, a IBJJF apresenta aos fãs um campeonato que promete ser um marco, uma reivindicação antiga dos competidores. Com a primeira edição do IBJJ Pro League, o Jiu-Jitsu enfim tem um ranking com os melhores faixas-pretas do mundo, e um torneio com prêmios em dinheiro para os principais batalhadores da arte suave.

E agora? Quem será o melhor entre os melhores, no fim da temporada? Qual será a melhor luta do evento?

Paralelamente, o Long Beach Fall Open ocorrre na mesma Pirâmide, a partir das 9h da manhã. A IBJJ Pro League começa a partir das 15h. O curioso é que os últimos atletas serão classificados para a Liga logo depois do Long Beach Fall Open.

Até 64kg – Caio Terra, Koji Shibamoto, Laercio Fernandes, Daniel Beleza, Rafael Freitas;

Três vagas restantes: um atleta a ser confirmado pela IBJJF; o faixa-preta campeão dos galos no Long Beach Open; o faixa-preta campeão dos plumas no Long Beach Open.

Até 76kg – Leandro Lo, Lucas Lepri, Samir Chantre, Augusto Tanquinho, Osvaldo Moizinho, Oliver Geddes;

Duas vagas restantes: o faixa-preta campeão dos penas no Long Beach Open; o faixa-preta campeão dos leves no Long Beach Open.

Até 88,3kg – Otavio Sousa, Romulo Barral, Rafael Monteiro, Bruno Augusto, Vitor Oliveira, André Galvão;

Duas vagas restantes: o faixa-preta campeão dos médios no Long Beach Open, o faixa-preta campeão meio-pesado no Long Beach Open.

Mais 88,3kg – Gustavo Pires, Bruno Bastos, Ricardo Evangelista, Roberto Tussa, Stephen Hall;

Três vagas restantes: o faixa-preta campeão dos pesados no Long Beach Open, o faixa-preta campeão superpesado do Long Beach Open; e o faixa-preta campeão pesadíssimo no Long Beach Open.

This coming Saturday, December 8, the IBJJF will be treating fans to a tournament they’ve been promising since back in March–one competitors have been dreaming of since way back. With the maiden IBJJ Pro League event, Jiu-Jitsu finally has a system ranking the best black belts in the world, and a tournament paying out cash prizes to the gentle-art’s top warriors.

So, who will turn out to be the best of the best come season’s end? Which will be the best match of the event?

Running alongside the Pro League at the same pyramid-shaped gymnasium, the Long Beach Fall Open will kick off at 9 AM. The IBJJ Pro League will begin at 3 PM. The interesting part is that the final berths in the League will only be filled once the Long Beach Fall Open is done.
