Former green Power Ranger from the “Power Rangers” TV show Jason David Frank made his professional MMA debut this Tuesday at Texas Cage Fighting in Houston, Texas. Frank needed just 56 seconds to submit Jose Roberto Vasquez with a rear-naked choke.

The Jiu-Jitsu blue belt had already fought four amateur MMA fights prior, and after winning, declared his interest in fighting at Strikeforce.

Ex-green power ranger and actor Jason David Frank won his fourth MMA fight in a row since his debut in January of this year. At Ultimate Warrior Challenge 8 this Saturday the 22^nd, in the USA, Jason finished off Carlos Horn in just 24 seconds.

The 36-year-old power ranger stated he wants to fight mostly amateur fights to carve out a place for himself in the MMA circuit, without relying on his fame as an actor to accelerate his professional career.

Power Ranger disses Kimbo Slice

With three wins and no losses on his amateur record, actor and fighter Jason David Frank, better known for his role on the Power Rangers TV show, is getting ready for yet another challenge. He will see action at the UWC event this coming 22^nd of May in Virginia, USA. His opponent will be James Hardy.

“I know I have a target on my back,” says Frank, then firing off a provocation:

“Everyone wants to beat up the green power ranger, but I’m not Kimbo Slice. I’ve been training a long time and I know how to handle myself in the cage,” he said.

Assunto comentado aqui no GRACIEMAG.com, aconteceu no dia 30 de janeiro, em Houston, nos Estados Unidos, a estreia do ator e lutador Jason David Frank no MMA. Conhecido da série de TV “Power Rangers”, que traz a saga de especialistas em artes marciais com superpoderes contra monstros alienígenas, Frank saiu vitorioso no embate contra Jonathan Mack.

E o combate não foi moleza. O ator sofreu alguns golpes na trocação e quase beijou a lona. Entretanto, ao chão, usou o Jiu-Jitsu para sair vencedor. Foi com uma chave omoplata que o ex- power rangers conseguiu finalizar o oponente, no assalto inicial.

Actor Jason David Frank made his debut as an MMA fighter this January 30^th in Houston, Texas. Best known for his part on the television show “Power Rangers”, portraying the saga of martial arts specialists with superpowers facing off against alien monsters, Frank left his showdown against Jonathan Mack victorious.

He didn’t have an easy time in winning, though. The actor suffered some strikes in the standup exchanges and nearly hit the canvas. Nevertheless, once the action was on the ground, his Jiu-Jitsu saw him through to the win. The former power ranger managed to finish off his opponent with an omoplata in the opening frame.
