Twenty-one submissions in 32 victories. These are the numbers that accredit Japanese fighter Shinya Aoki as one of the most dangerous finishers of the current MMA scene.

He is 29 years old, already has three belts on his record, and showed his refined technique to win the ONE FC, over the feared Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, taking the lightweight belt.

At the event, ONE FC 8, Shinya showed great Jiu-Jitsu skills to neutralize Boku on the ground, and step by step, worked his way to his opponent’s neck, where he submitted with a rear naked choke at 2:02 of the second round.

São 21 finalizações em 32 vitórias. Estes são os números que credenciam o japonês Shinya Aoki como um dos finalizadores mais perigosos do atual cenário do MMA.

Ele, que tem 29 anos e já possui três cinturões no currículo, mostrou sua apurada técnica para vencer no One FC, sobre Kotetsu “No Face” Boku, levando o cinturão dos pesos leves da organização.

No evento em questão, o One FC 8, Shinya mostrou muita habilidade no Jiu-Jitsu para neutralizar Boku no solo, e passo a passo abrir caminho para o pescoço do oponente, onde finalizou no mata-leão aos 2min1s do segundo assalto.

Shinya Aoki entrou para lutar na manhã desta sexta-feira, dia 5 de abril, com duas metas. A primeira era vencer Kotetsu “No Face” Boku para garfar o cinturão dos pesos peve da organização. A segunda era levar essa vitória por finalização, e conquistar a incrível marca de 21 finalizações no MMA profissional.

Shinya entrou com sua estratégia mais do que traçada: encurtar, neutralizar e finalizar.  Boku é muito perigoso no jogo em pé, um nocauteador. Sabendo disso, Aoki não deu espaços para o adversário e conseguiu, no fim do segundo assalto, passar o braço e estrangular Kotetsu no mata-leão que lhe renderia o título dos pesos leve do One FC.

Ainda na noite, Brock Larson teve que sobreviver aos duros chutes de Melvin Manhoef para conseguir virar o jogo, terminando o segundo assalto quase finalizando no braço, e chegando ao terceiro trabalhando no solo golpeando por cima, e vencendo de forma unânime a quase perdida batalha ainda no primeiro round. Mais uma vez, o Jiu-Jitsu como salvador.

Outro destaques ficaram nas vitórias de Kevin Belingon e Masakatsu Ueda no GP de pesos-galo. Agora, ambos se enfrentam para definir o campeão da divisão no One FC.

Nesta sexta-feira, 5 de abril, o One FC apresenta sua oitava edição ao vivo para o mundo todo. Shinya Aoki e Kotetsu “No Face” Boku disputam o cinturão dos leves na luta principal da noite, em Cingapura.

Kotetsu vem de vitória sobre o brasileiro Zorobabel Moreira no One FC 6, em outubro de 2012. Já Aoki ganhou a chance de disputar o cinturão dos leves após finalizar Arnaud Lepont no triângulo, também na sexta edição do One FC.

O campeão do evento Kotetsu Boku não estranha as adversidades. Ele é um competidor nato que nunca desiste de uma luta dura. Boku inflamou a multidão no estádio Indoor, em Singapura, quando despachou o brasileiro Zorobabel aos 31 segundos do terceiro round com um nocaute e garantiu o título dos leves. Com seis vitórias em suas últimas sete lutas, a fera está desfrutando um dos melhores momentos de sua carreira. Não há dúvida que a luta do dia 5 de abril será seu maior teste até hoje, contra Shinya Aoki.

Aoki é o campeão do Dream no peso leve, e vem de vitória sobre grandes atletas como Tatsuya Kawajiri, Marcus Aurélio e Rich Clementi.
